The University of the South Pacific (USP) is a regional university serving 12 Pacific Island countries with campuses in Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and Vanuatu. USP has already made significant strides in implementing TEL. The university has offered distance and flexible learning programs for over 50 years, with over 30,000 students currently enrolled in these programs. USP's TEL offerings include online courses, digital libraries, and interactive learning platforms.

One of the most significant TEL initiatives at USP is the development of a Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS is a digital platform that allows instructors to create and manage course materials, assessments, and communication with students. USP's LMS, known as Moodle, provides a centralized platform for students to access course materials, participate in discussion forums, and submit assignments. USP is currently piloting a VR program that allows students to explore the human anatomy in 3D.
