E-assessment and Marking rubric
A marking rubric is a tool used by teachers to evaluate student work. It consists of a set of criteria and performance levels that are used to assess student performance. At USP, a marking rubric is used to evaluate student work in e-assessment. The university has developed a standardized marking rubric that is used across all courses and programs. The marking rubric used at USP consists of four performance levels: excellent, good, satisfactory, and unsatisfactory. Each performance level is defined by a set of criteria, such as content knowledge, critical thinking, communication skills, and use of evidence. For example, to achieve an excellent performance level, a student must demonstrate exceptional content knowledge, critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and excellent use of evidence.
